College Basketball Roundup : BYU Is Surprised by Air Force at Provo, 82-79

Maurice McDonald scored 25 points and Mike Edwards added 17 to lead ninth-seeded Air Force to an 82-79 win over fourth-seeded Brigham Young in the opening round of the Western Athletic Conference postseason tournament Monday at Provo, Utah.
Air Force (8-19) will meet Utah in the second round at Salt Lake City Wednesday night. Utah (14-15) beat Wyoming, 61-60, Monday night at Salt Lake City.
In another first-round WAC game, Colorado State (18-11) rallied in overtime to defeat Hawaii (10-18), 73-68, at Fort Collins, Colo. The Rams will meet New Mexico, Wednesday at Albuquerque.
Iona 57, Fordham 54--At East Rutherford, N.J., the Gaels (26-4) beat the Rams (19-11) to win the championship of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference tournament and a berth in the NCAA tournament.
Farleigh Dickinson 63, Loyola (Md.) 59--At Baltimore, Larry Hampton scored 19 points, and Fairleigh Dickinson (21-9) held Loyola (16-14) scoreless over the final 2:20 to earn a berth in the NCAA tournament with an overtime victory for the ECAC Metro Conference championship.
Lehigh 76, Bucknell 74-- At Towson Md., freshman Daren Queenan had 31 points and 12 rebounds as Lehigh (12-18) upset Bucknell (19-10) to win the East Coast Conference championship and an NCAA tournament berth.
