College Trustee LeMarinel Named to State Education Panel

Felix S. LeMarinel has been appointed by the Senate Rules Committee to the Commission for the Review of the Master Plan for Higher Education. LeMarinel, of Anaheim, is vice president of the North Orange County Community College District Board of Trustees. The commission was created by the state Legislature last year to review the master plan that spells out the responsibilities of the community colleges, the state universities and the UC system.

The Harvard Club of Orange County named Robert Hobart, 21, of Irvine its 1984-85 Student of the Year. Hobart is an honors candidate in economics, a senior and a member of the university’s football team. He was a member of University High School’s class of 1981 in Irvine.

The California Medical Assn. Auxiliary will install Jeanne Hull of Laguna Niguel as president Tuesday in San Diego. The service organization is made up of spouses of physician members of the California Medical Assn. Hull is also a member of the Mozart chapter of the Orange County Performing Arts Center of South Laguna.

Toastmasters International has appointed Milt Galbraith area governor. Galbraith has been employed by the Orange Police Department since October, 1967. His Toastmaster duties will include coordinating membership drives and regional speech contests.

Jeanne Delp has been awarded the Ruth Martinson Memorial Past President’s Award, the highest honor bestowed by the California Assn. for the Gifted. Delp was selected for her contributions to gifted programs at the local, state and national levels. She has been a professional educator for 37 years and is the director of instructional services for the Garden Grove Unified School District.
