T. K. Lin has purchased a 26,000-square-foot building in La Mesa from Women’s World Shops, a nationwide chain of women’s apparel stores, and plans to tear the structure down and replace it with a motel.
Women’s World occupied the building until last May, when it moved its corporate headquarters from La Mesa. Lin bought the two-acre La Mesa site, at 8000 Parkway Drive, for $1.2million, according to Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate Services, which handled the transaction along with Urban Equities.
