A 9-year-old Orange County girl, Natalie Gregory, has landed the title role in “Alice in Wonderland,” a four-hour movie that’s being made for CBS. The 57-pound third-grader has been acting for two years, with appearances in “Robert Kennedy and His Times,” “Matt Houston,” “Trapper John, M.D.,” “Cagney & Lacey” and “Magnum, P.I.” The cast will include Sid Caesar, Diahann Carroll, Sammy Davis Jr., Sherman Hemsley, Louis Nye, Ringo Starr, Donald O’Connor, Scott Baio and Jack Warden.
Ben Vereen will host an hourlong TV special featuring the “Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.” The program, due to air on CBS April 15, includes world renowned animal trainer Gunther Gebel-Williams. Vereen will be featured in a clown sequence.
