Point Loma Reaches National Christian Championship Final

The Point Loma Nazarene College basketball team advanced to the National Christian College Tournament championship game with a 95-86 victory against George Fox University of Oregon in the semifinals Friday at Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, Tenn.
The Crusaders (27-8) will play top-seeded Tennessee Temple (28-3) in the championship game today. Tennessee Temple beat Taylor University of Indiana in the semifinals, 63-50. The Crusaders are the tournament’s second-seeded team.
Deon Richard, a 6-foot 6-inch forward, led the Crusaders with 27 points and 11 rebounds Friday. Brian Caradonna added 14 points and Steve Bruce had 13 points and nine rebounds.
