Timothy C. Collins, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Jet America Airlines Inc., has resigned from the Long Beach-based company “for personal reasons.” The company did not elaborate.
Collins, a co-founder of the 4-year-old carrier, agreed to stay on until a replacement is named. He also resigned as a director.
John Pike has been named executive vice president-network television for Los Angeles-based Paramount Pictures Corp., a newly created position. It was incorrectly reported in an earlier edition that he was named executive vice president of Paramount’s Television Group.
James J. Carolan was named senior vice president of Republic Indemnity Co. of America, Encino.
Robert A. Manarino was appointed vice president-leasing of August Management Inc., Long Beach.
Stuart A. Carson was named vice president-marketing of ITT General Controls, Glendale.
Steven N. Bloom, Gary O. Caris, Peter Csato and Michael G. Fletcher have been named partners in the law firm of Frandzel & Share, Beverly Hills.

Ronald E. Grubman has been appointed vice president-corporate development and general counsel of Digital Sound Corp., Santa Barbara.
