Mubarak Confers With Kohl During Stop in Frankfurt

FRANKFURT, West Germany — Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak made a stopover here Saturday to discuss his new Middle East peace initiative with West German Chancellor Helmut Kohl and said the meeting was “very fruitful.”
In an hour of talks at the airport here, Mubarak gave Kohl details of his visits to Paris, Washington and London to promote his plan for talks between the United States and a joint Jordanian-Palestinian team.
After the talks, Kohl told reporters that West Germany hopes that the initiative is a success.
