Local News in Brief : CSUN Professor Cited for Outstanding Work
A California State University, Northridge, history professor has been named one of two outstanding professors for 1985 in the California State University system.
Citations and $1,000 checks went to Reba M. Soffer, who has taught at the Northridge campus since 1961, and Kenneth L. Marfi, a chemistry professor at Cal State Long Beach.
Trustees of the system have been giving the awards since 1964.
Soffer wrote “Ethics and Society in England: the Revolution in the Social Sciences in 1978.”
