A small amount of cocaine was found in the blood of a stunt man who was killed when the helicopter in which he was riding crashed near Newhall on Jan. 18, the Los Angeles County coroner’s office said. Reid Rondell, 22, working on the filming of the television series “Airwolf,” was burned to death in the crash in Pico Canyon, several miles west of Newhall. The Bell 205 helicopter was piloted by Scott Meher, 36, of Los Angeles, who has been released from the hospital after treatment for multiple broken bones. The cause of the crash has not been determined.
