A 17-year-old boy was killed in an apparently gang-related shooting after a fight in San Pedro. Lonell Roberson and several friends became involved in a fight with Jose Chairez, 21, police said. Chairez reportedly went to his vehicle, got a handgun, returned to the group and fired several shots. One shot hit Roberson, police said. Roberson was taken to San Pedro Peninsula Hospital where he died, O’Connell said. Chairez voluntarily surrendered to police.
