Four Valley Libraries Will Lengthen Hours

Libraries in four San Fernando Valley communities will expand their hours beginning April 1 because of additional money made available by the city and state.
The North Hollywood branch of the Los Angeles Public Library, at 5211 Tujunga Ave., will add 10 hours a week to its schedule. The new hours will be: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
The Sherman Oaks branch, at 14245 Moorpark St., will add 3 1/2 hours a week. The new hours will be: 1 to 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
In Sunland-Tujunga, the branch at 7771 Foothill Blvd. will add 7 1/2 hours a week. New hours will be: 1 to 8 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 1 to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
In Van Nuys, the library at 6250 Sylmar Ave. will add 4 1/2 hours. New hours will be: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, noon to 5:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
