Artificial heart recipient Murray P. Haydon has made good progress in recovering from respiratory problems that forced him back into the coronary care unit earlier in the week at Humana Hospital Audubon, a hospital spokesman said Wednesday.

The breathing problem was correcting itself without medication, and Haydon will be using a respirator less, said Robert Irvine, director of public relations for Humana Inc. His condition remained serious but stable, Irvine said.
