The bodies of dentist Virgil Falldorf and his girlfriend, Sharlon Zeller, both of the Westchester area, were found in the wreckage of Falldorf’s plane at an altitude of about 6,800 feet in the Sierra, just west of the California-Nevada border. Falldorf’s light plane disappeared from the radar screens of air traffic controllers Monday while he and Zeller were flying home from Las Vegas. A search team had to be dropped from a helicopter on the steep, inaccessible mountainside to recover the bodies.
