The Nation : 7 Seized at Closed Church
Seven followers of the Rev. D. Douglas Roth, a dissident Lutheran minister, were arrested outside their padlocked church after police said that they ignored orders to leave. The seven were charged with failure of disorderly persons to disperse after they prayed for about 10 minutes outside Trinity Lutheran Church in Clairton, Pa., a Pittsburgh suburb. Roth was not at the service. Roth, 33, served 112 days for civil contempt of court for defying orders from a judge and church leadership about his support of militant pro-labor groups.
