Michael Jackson Searched by Customs Officials in England
LONDON — Michael Jackson was searched by English customs officials today when the pop music star arrived at Heathrow Airport flanked by bodyguards to unveil a wax figure of himself at Madame Tussaud’s.
“I didn’t mind,” said the 26-year-old Jackson, a devout Jehovah’s Witness and ardent anti-drug campaigner. “Why should I when there is nothing to find?”
As Jackson, wearing a purple tunic with gold braid, stepped off the plane, he said “Gee, it’s so good to be in London. I am looking forward to seeing everything.”
He was then stopped by customs officials for 35 minutes and searched before he cleared customs.
Jackson’s bodyguards kept everyone else away from the singer and told reporters not to ask any questions.
