Dorothy Cohen’s article of March 24 recounted an unfortunate mishap to a fellow tour member, which caused her much inconvenience. My husband and I are so grateful that no one as impatient as she was with our Far Horizons tour group when I broke a leg in Belize last month.
Expertly, the tour director, Mary Dell Lucas, took complete control, calling upon her many connections in Orange Walk for prompt medical care for me, all the while giving consideration to the welfare and comfort of the other members of our group.
The accident ruined the trip for my husband and me but seemed not to have spoiled a moment for the kind people with us. We left Belize with a broken limb but with a wholehearted resolve to return and pick up where we left off seeing the Mayan kingdoms of Belize.
