Suspect Arrested in Fatal Hit-Run Accident
Police arrested a North Hollywood woman Tuesday on suspicion of felony hit-and-run driving in two auto accidents that left one man dead and two injured, authorities said.
Christianne Stinson, 24, turned herself in at the Van Nuys police station Tuesday morning, but apparently did not realize that there had been a death until officers told her, police said. She was being held in lieu of $1,000 bail pending arraignment on Thursday.
Alois Aufmuth, 80, of North Hollywood, was killed Monday when his car was struck by another auto.
