San Pedro
San Pedro Peninsula Hospital has opened a 50-bed recovery facility to house its alcohol, chemical dependency and eating disorders units. Called the Recovery Alliance, the new center centralizes treatment and provides a more comfortable patient setting, hospital officials said. “Patients are treated together because their problems are similar,” said Dr. William Rader, clinic director. “In the Recovery Alliance, we’re treating the disease rather than the symptoms and we’re focusing on solutions.”
The recovery programs include 25- to 35-day hospital stays and 8 to 10 weeks of outpatient services.
