Bush to Visit Nine States to Push ’88 Nomination

WASHINGTON — Vice President George Bush, a leading potential candidate for the Republican presidential nomination in 1988, leaves today on a six-day tour that will include political and other appearances in nine states.
Marlin Fitzwater, a Bush spokesman, said the trip will be the first in a series in which the vice president will speak at fund-raising events held in preparation for the 1986 congressional and state elections.
