Pepperdine Falls to UCLA in Tennis

The No. 1-ranked UCLA men’s tennis team won five of six singles matches en route to an 8-1 rout of No. 5 Pepperdine Saturday at the Los Angeles Tennis Center.
Jeff Klaparda of UCLA, filling in for injured Michael Kures, defeated Kelley Jones, 6-4, 6-2, in the No. 1 singles match. In doubles, freshmen Ken Diller and Brad Pearce of UCLA upset the No. 4-ranked team of Jones and Carlos DiLaura, 7-6, 3-6, 6-3.
