Medical Assitance

Just to let you know that about two years ago Jerry Hulse wrote about the International Assn. for Medical Assistance to Travelers. I sent a contribution of $20, twice. In return, they sent me climate charts and a directory listing approved doctors, both internists and specialists in all fields of medicine.

On March 29 this year I was in Finland and came down with an eye infection and called on IAMAT. They told me where to go to get aid. I went by taxi to a hospital, and they took good care of me. I didn’t have enough markkas to pay, and they did not charge me.
