A Chancery Court judge in Wilmington, Del., issued the temporary restraining order removing Luis Nogales. The order was issued at the request of Douglas F. Ruhe and William E. Geissler, owners of 83% of the stock in Media News, the parent company of United Press International. The order removed Nogales from the Media News board and also dismissed him as an officer of the company. Also removed from the Media News board by the order were Maxwell McCrohon, editor-in-chief of UPI, and William Morrissey, president of the Wire Service Guild. The order only involved Media News and did not affect the status of Nogales, McCrohon and Morrissey at UPI.
