German to Visit Israel

JERUSALEM — West German President Richard von Weizsaecker plans to visit Israel this fall in what will be the first visit here by a German chief of state, the president’s office announced Friday. Von Weizsaecker told President Chaim Herzog of his planned visit in a personal message he sent reaffirming Israel’s right to exist in recognized and secure boundaries, Herzog’s office said.
