Rapist Given 592 Years

BARCELONA, Spain — A man was sentenced to 592 years in prison Tuesday by a court that convicted him of 40 rapes, two attempted rapes and seven indecent assaults on women in a working-class district of this northern city. Under Spanish law, Francisco Lopez Maillo, 23, could be paroled after 30 years.
