Older, Ailing Persons Urged to Get Flu Shots

ATLANTA — Older persons and those with heart or lung disease should get flu shots, even if they received them last year, the national Centers for Disease Control said Thursday.
The flu vaccine formula will remain the same because the influenza strains expected to attack Americans this year are the same ones that hit last winter, the CDC’s Immunization Practices Advisory Committee said in its annual statement on flu vaccines and prevention.
