NCAA Division 3 Golf : UCSD Tied for Third Place After Three Rounds
The UC San Diego golf team is tied for third place after three rounds of the NCAA Division 3 Golf Championships at the par-72 Monroe Golf Club in Rochester, N.Y..
Millikin University of Decatur, Ill., leads the tournament with a three-round total of 904. Central College of Pella, Iowa, is second (906). UCSD and Methodist College of Fayetteville, N.C., are tied for third (914).
Brian Goldsworthy of Central is the individual leader at 217. Steve Halvalas and Bob Jan of Millikin are in second and third at 221 and 222 respectively. UCSD’s Pat Weishan is third at 223. Other UCSD golfers include Kevin Lea (229), Buz Fulton (231), Byron Hay (238) and Shell Wheeler (238).
