18 Die in Collapse of 2 Buildings in India

NEW DELHI — At least 18 people were killed Friday when two buildings collapsed in different parts of India, the Press Trust of India news agency said.
It said 11 women and a child were killed in a village in central Uttar Pradesh state when a balcony from which they were watching a wedding gave way under the weight of dozens of spectators. In the Delhi suburb of Palam, at least six children under 5 years of age were killed and about 12 others injured when the roof of their primary school collapsed.
