Prep Golf Teams Seek Title Today
The top 12 high school golf teams from four regions within the Southern Section of the CIF will meet today for the section team championship in the Southern California Golf Assn.-CIF Championships at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage.
Defending champion Simi Valley, a playoff winner last year over Palm Springs, did not qualify for the championships. Instead, this year’s tournament should be a battle between Palm Springs, led by O.D. Vincent and Roger Dibble, and Loyola, featuring Southern Section individual champion Ken Tanigawa.
