ANAHEIM SOPRANO WINS $2,000 AWARD

Soprano Deborah Voigt of Anaheim took third place at the 13th Loren L. Zachary Society Opera Awards National Auditions held last Sunday at Ambassador Auditorium in Pasadena.
The award carries a cash prize of $2,000.
Voigt also was one of 11 finalists in the Metropolitan Opera Auditions held in March in New York, where she won a $5,000 study grant.
She recently did the role of Donna Anna in Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” at Cal State University, Fullerton, where she is working toward a bachelor of music degree.
