Retiring President Addresses Pierce Grads
Pierce College in Woodland Hills held graduation ceremonies for 1,059 students Thursday evening, highlighted by a commencement address given by college President Herbert Ravetch, who is planning to retire in June.
Ravetch is finishing a 35-year career in education that included stints as chief administrator for two other Los Angeles community colleges, Southwest and Mission.
Wallace Albertson, a member of the Los Angeles Community College District Board of Trustees, and Dr. Kenneth Washington, the district’s vice chancellor of educational services, also participated in the commencement.
