Central Park Hansom Holdup Suspect Seized
Associated Press
NEW YORK — A man wearing a bandanna and carrying a bogus pistol was arrested in Central Park before dawn today and charged with robbing four horse-drawn carriages on romantic late-night spins.
Anthony McCray, 27, was identified by several of his alleged victims in line-ups after his 2 a.m. arrest by officers staking out the park, where two bandanna-wearing “gunmen” had committed five hansom carriage holdups in the last month. The second robber was not apprehended, police said.
