Authorities Identify Man Killed in Crash

Amotorist who died when his car crashed off a Newhall freeway bridge was identified by authorities Sunday as Joel Mendez, 32, of Saugus.
Mendez was driving the wrong way in the southbound Antelope Valley Freeway lanes early Saturday when his car hit an overpass guardrail, went airborne and landed 15 feet below on San Fernando Road.
