$845,000 IN BURTON’S BRITISH WILL

LONDON — The will of actor Richard Burton’s estate in Britain shows he left 675,000--or about $845,000--in Britain.
Burton’s main will, published in Bermuda in March, left the bulk of Burton’s $3.37-million estate to his fourth wife, Sally.
In the British will, Burton left 25% of the money to be divided equally between his two daughters, Katherine and Jessica Burton, under an agreement made in 1963 with his first wife, Sybil. He left 10% to his adopted daughter, Maria Burton, under an agreement made with Elizabeth Taylor in 1973.
Among other beneficiaries was his old school teacher, Philip Burton, whose surname he adopted for his stage career. He received about $15,000. Burton’s real name was Richard Walter Jenkins.
Burton’s numerous Welsh relatives each received a similar amount.
