French Industrial Output Seen Leveling Off

PARIS — Output in most sectors of the French economy is expected to remain steady over the coming months after rising significantly in April, the Bank of France said.
In its monthly survey of business executives, the central bank said recent improvements in domestic and foreign demand were likely to hold production near the high levels recorded in April. Activity is expected to be strongest in the agricultural and capital goods sectors, where modest production increases are forecast over the near term, the bank said.
