Amemorial service for Robert William Wonzik, 24, of Northridge, whose body was found Friday in an undeveloped canyon in Granada Hills, will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Northridge.
Wonzik’s name was erroneously given as Womack by authorities after his body was found, a spokeswoman for the Wonzik family said.
The body was discovered by an off-duty Los Angeles policeman who was riding his horse in the Aliso Canyon area of Granada Hills. Wonzik had been dead one to two days, authorities said.
The cause of Wonzik’s death has not been determined, a coroner’s spokeswoman said Sunday. Homicide investigators found no sign of trauma on the body, police said.
