Cranston Opposes Cuts in Foster Care Funds

Sen. Alan Cranston has accused President Reagan of “taking bread out of the mouths of children” by proposing to freeze federal foster care funds at the 1984 level.
Cranston, speaking Monday at MacLaren Children’s Center in El Monte, said Reagan’s proposal would cost California up to $20 million during the next fiscal year.
