J. Robert Gilroy, a former president of San Niguel Equities, has been appointed president of the Sammis Realty Investors, Irvine.
Terence Baker has joined John Laing Homes Inc. as vice president of land acquisitions, the U.S. subsidiary of the London-based John Laing PLC. He has been affiliated with the firm since 1978 and his responsibilities include land acquisition, market research and strategic planning.
Douglas J. Nail has been named director of acquisitions of Collins Development Co.’s investment division in San Diego. He previously served as project manager for Central Savings & Loan Assn.
Thomas W. Chadwell has been named director of land development for Meister Development Group, Irvine. Chadwell served as a project manager and contract administrator for Psomas & Associates, Costa Mesa.
Michael I. Katz, a partner in the Los Angeles law firm of Katz & Block, is the 1985 president of the Apartment Assn. of the San Fernando Valley and Ventura County, succeeding Joseph Cobert, partner in the law firm of Boock & Cobert, who will serve as first vice president.
Jeff Osheroff has joined Don Wilson Development of Torrance, as vice president and partner. He was a vice president in charge of development and leasing for the Watson Land Co.
