The new Coke is not it, according to 60 people who gathered in San Francisco’s Union Square to protest the recently reformulated Coca Cola. Waving protest signs reading “New Coke? The gods must be crazy!” the protesters urged onlookers to pressure the Atlanta-based Coca-Cola Co. to return to the old taste of Coke. The rally was organized by the Old Cola Drinkers of America, a Seattle group that filed a federal suit asking that a restraining order be lodged against the company.
