DETROIT — Ford Motor Co. on Thursday recalled 289,532 of its 1984 and 1985 Ford Tempo-Mercury Topaz compact cars for replacement of rear suspension bolts that could break and cause the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
The company said that it has received four reports of accidents that may have been due to broken bolts but no reports of injuries.
