Chevron completed the sale of its coke business.

The San Francisco-based oil company said it sold the Lake Charles, La., business to Standard Oil of Ohio for an undisclosed price. Chevron acquired the business, which produces a high-purity carbon product used principally in the aluminum and steel industries, when it purchased Gulf Oil last year.
