Thatcher Sends Reagan ‘Affection, Best Wishes’

LONDON — Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher sent her “love, affection and best wishes” to President Reagan on Monday night after the announcement that a tumor removed from his colon was cancerous, her office said.
Thatcher called Donald T. Regan, the President’s chief of staff, at the White House to give him the message, according to a spokesman.
