Nine Arrested in Protest of Sub Commissioning

GROTON, Conn. — The Navy commissioned the fast-attack submarine Providence on Saturday as police arrested nine anti-nuclear demonstrators.
Groton police said the protesters were arrested on charges of disorderly conduct when they blocked traffic. All were released on promises to appear in court Aug. 4.
