New Product Costs Bring Loss to MSI Data

MSI Data Corp. announced a loss of $377,000 for the first quarter of fiscal 1986, compared to a profit of $249,000 for the first quarter of fiscal 1985. Revenues for the quarter ended June 29 were $13.8 million, compared with $13.7 million in the year-earlier period. The Costa Mesa manufacturer of hand-held counting devices said the results reflected costs for developing and introducing new products.
