Spring Construction Start Scheduled for Enlisted Quarters at Naval Base

Construction is expected to begin in the spring of 1986 on an $8.6-million bachelor enlisted quarters at the Naval Submarine Base in Point Loma, San Diego. The 53,200-square-foot, seven-story building will provide living space for 270 personnel and an adjacent parking structure will accommodate 248 vehicles. Completion is scheduled for the spring of 1987.
The architect is Dominy/Larson/Carpenter, San Diego; structural engineer is Atkinson, Johnson & Spurrier & Associates; mechanical engineer, Merle Strum & Associates; electrical engineer, Turpin & Rattan, and civil engineer, Klagge Stevens & Associates. The landscape architect is Kawasaki Theilacker & Associates and the interior designer, Design Point.
