Skier Karl Alpiger of Switzerland scored his second downhill victory in two days of World Cup racing at Valle de Las Lenas, Argentina. Alpiger, 24, sped down the 3,627-meter course in 2 minutes 1.27 seconds, finishing .11 of a second ahead of runner-up Peter Mueller of Switzerland. Markus Wasmaier of West Germany was third, American Doug Lewis 15th.
