Angel Trade With Pirates Certainly One for the Ages
The recent Angel trade with the Pirates qualifies for the believe-it-or-not department. After emphasizing youth and lower salaries, the Angels traded away three present and future stars with a combined age of 69 and bird feed paychecks for three has-beens with a combined age of 100 and paychecks approaching the national debt. The Candelaria-Holland-Hendrick for Kipper-Clements-and-Brown trade is one for the books.
