Westworld to Buy Hospital in Dos Palos

Westworld Community Healthcare Inc. said Friday that a definitive agreement has been signed to acquire the Dos Palos Memorial Hospital in Dos Palos, Calif. It will be the Laguna Niguel-based company’s 12th California facility.
In making the announcement, Westworld president and chief operating officer, Peter C. Donald, said, “This most recent acquisition will fulfill the company’s promise to develop a comprehensive, high-quality, full-service health care system to serve area residents in Merced, Fresno and Madera Counties.”
The company also said that as of last week it has fully implemented previously announced acquisitions of rural health care systems in Tooele County, Utah; Wasco, Calif.; New Boston, Texas; and Mason, Texas. The company has canceled plans to acquire the rural healthcare system in Raymondville, Texas.
Westworld now operates in 35 locations in 13 states.
