KEY PLAYS
With the score tied, 7-7, in the first half, Rowland defensive back Tony Seron intercepted a pass and returned it 30 yards to the Canoga Park 20. Three plays later, running back Russ Goo ran 20 yards for a touchdown and 14-7 halftime lead. . . . After a scoreless first quarter, Rowland tallied on a 23-yard run by Goo early in the second quarter. . . . Canoga Park tied it on a 28-yard pass from quarterback Tony Cantrell to tailback Kenny Durr. . . . Rowland made it 21-7 on 10-yard pass from quarterback Dave Hansen to Jeff Gonzales.
KEY PLAYERS
Running back Russ Goo (R) led both teams in rushing with 104 yards and two touchdowns in 18 carries. Running back Kenny Durr (CP) led the Hunters’ offense, rushing for 60 yards in 10 carries and catching two passes for 28 yards before being ejected for a flagrant personal foul late in the third quarter. Wide receiver Junior Delgado (CP) was the Hunters’ top receiver with four catches for 48 yards.
