Published reports that the University of Alabama possibly broke NCAA rules while courting a 7-foot 1-inch high school basketball prospect have prompted a university investigation.
Athletic Director Ray Perkins said he ordered the investigation after the Birmingham News reported Sunday that a picture in a football game program advertisement of Alan Ogg and Alabama basketball Coach Wimp Sanderson may be a violation.
Ogg, who was not identified in the picture, is a senior at Gardendale High School in Birmingham.
