Volleyball Roundup : Cal Poly Pomona Defeats Chapman

The Cal Poly Pomona women’s volleyball team, ranked fourth among NCAA Division 2 schools, defeated 10th-ranked Chapman College, 15-11, 15-4, 11-15, 15-12, in California Collegiate Athletic Assn. play Thursday at Pomona.
Terri Dantuma recorded a match-high 18 serving points for the Broncos (5-1, 17-5). Chapman (2-3, 14-8) was led by outside hitter Pamela Burdue with 17 kills and Alison Jackson, who tallied 10 points on serves. The Panthers play at Cal State Bakersfield today.

Nevada Las Vegas 3, Cal State Fullerton 0--Outside hitters Judy Bellomo and Denise Brooks had 17 kills each as the Rebels (3-4, 8-7) beat the Titans, 15-12, 15-8, 15-10 at Titan Gym.
Fullerton (1-8, 8-16) had three players who contributed 12 kills apiece, Sandy Ballinger, Wendy Knapp and Joan McGee. The Titans play host to Cal State Long Beach on at 7:30 p.m. next Wednesday.
